Osteopathy

Thursdays | 10:00am - 12:30pm

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy that uses gentle hands-on techniques to help relieve pain, improve mobility and support musculoskeletal function. Treatment may include soft-tissue techniques, stretching and joint mobilisation to help reduce discomfort and improve physical ease.

Osteopathy may be helpful in managing back and neck pain, joint stiffness, muscle tension, postural issues and the physical effects of stress. The practitioner will explain each stage of treatment and offer guidance on self-management between sessions.

Osteopathy appointments at West Hampstead Women’s Centre are provided by volunteer osteopath Laura Walsh.

All initial appointments include a consultation, during which health history and current symptoms are discussed before treatment is tailored to individual needs. Each appointment includes a 30-minute osteopathy treatment. Follow-up appointments provide continued support to help maintain mobility and physical function.

With the rising cost of living, the Centre is committed to keeping osteopathy affordable. An initial assessment is available for a contribution of £17, with follow-up sessions at £10. Contributions help sustain affordable wellbeing services for the Centre's members.

Osteopathy appointments are available to members of West Hampstead Women’s Centre. Please contact the Centre to enquire about current availability.
